TWHBEA INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM

BELOW ARE NEW ADDITIONS/CHANGES TO THE CURRENT METHODS UTILIZED IN INTERNATIONAL EVENTS.

  • The first INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE composed of TWHBEA directors from all foreign countries will be organized in 2008.  This committee will be a forum for all International Directors to report to TWHBEA the needs of the International membership.
  • In an effort to unify the European Tennessee Walking Horse membership, the TWHBEA will now act as show management for all TWHBEA Recognized International Horse Shows.  Management will consist of a TWHBEA staff person(s) or representative on site at each show to act as manager for the duration of the show.

This manager will:

  1. Collect entry fees for any show accepting entries on site or post entry fees for shows being handled through the TWHBEA office.
  2. Supervise the location set up and schedules needed for horse show.
  3. Work with TWHBEA and International members to secure appropriate class selections in show programs
  4. Handle rule disputes.
  5. Provide show coordination and implementation
  6. Aid in Sponsorship coordination and implementation
  7. Track point accumulations for High Point Award Programs
  8. Oversee all operations associated with the show and work in good faith with the European membership to make the show a success.
  9. Supervise all horse show office and grounds staff.
  10. TWHBEA will add additional responsibilities to show management duties as determined.
  • The TWHBEA will hold the first EUROPEAN FUTURITY in 2008 in conjunction with the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

(For quick description of TWHBEA FUTURITY you can visit the TWHBEA website for more information.  TWHBEA realizes there may need to be some changes for International reasons, but those will be explained later on the TWHBEA website.)

  • In an effort to promote the TWHBEA EUROPEAN FUTURITY AND EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS as a new event with a new focus, we are implementing a CHANGE OF LOCATION AND VENUE.  We are requesting suggestions for locations from many sources in order to secure the best possible location to hold this event.  TWHBEA will determine the final location of the European Championships and TWHBEA Futurity.

TWHBEA is seeking the most professional, equine accommodations possible for this event.  The following requirements must be met but not limited to:

    • Permanent stalling facilities
    • Restrooms and food resources
    • Permanent seating for spectators
    • Appropriate technical equipment for internet and computers, announcer, and event needs
    • Located near suitable hotels for attendees, campgrounds would be a plus as well.
    • A location suitable for European membership to have access within a reasonable distance.
    • Facility with connections to stall bedding, horse feed, veterinary support services, and blacksmith services
  • A TWHBEA INTERNATIONAL RULE BOOK will be in effect for all TWHBEA recognized shows.  This rule book will contain only rules that apply to flat shod, and a newly created barefoot division.  These rules will be taken into consideration with the cooperation of our International directors and membership.  We realize there are some differences in equine laws in different countries, and we want to respect them.
  • A specific INTERNATIONAL WEB PAGE found on the TWHBEA website will feature announcements translated in both German and Dutch with more languages to be added in the future.  This page will be a direct source for all information coming from the TWHBEA office to its International Membership.
  • Information will be included in each Voice Magazine for our International members regarding International issues and programs.
  • International Membership email addresses will be requested for all members who would like to receive TWHBEA announcements directly to their computers.  These announcements will also be translated into German, Dutch, and Hebrew with more languages to come.

The TWHBEA is excited about the future of the International Membership.  We look forward to working with all International members in making the transition to a stronger, more secure presence in all International countries.
