FFA Group Visits TWHBEA
Lewisburg, TN - Recently seven members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter at Paige High School in Williamson County, Tennessee, visited the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ And Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) as part of the FFA Agriculture Issues competition. This competition requires that students choose a current issue in agriculture and develop a presentation to show the pros and cons of that issue. They then make that presentation to at least five groups that would have an interest in the issue. Finally a record of the five presentations is submitted and scored.
The students that made their presentation at TWHBEA had chosen as their issue the Tennessee Walking Horse industry and recent proposed legislation regarding soring. Their presentation was informative, thorough and well constructed. TWHBEA was honored to assist with this FFA project and to host these talented students.
