Larry Starnes Named TWHBEA Member of the Year
Lewisburg, TN - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ And Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) was pleased to present its 2013 Member of the Year Award to Larry Starnes of Brownsville, Kentucky. The Member of the Year Award recognizes a member who has provided extremely valuable service to the Association. This year's honoree comes from a long line of Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiasts. He genuinely loves the breed and he has always been there for TWHBEA. He has been a valuable and dedicated volunteer at the TWHBEA World Versatility Show since its inception. He has also been on hand to help out at countless other TWHBEA events including All Youth Day, clinics and trade fairs. He and his family promote the Tennessee Walking Horse wherever they go and they never fail to promote TWHBEA as well. It is with great pride that TWHBEA presented the 2013 TWHBEA Member of the Year Award to Larry Starnes.
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA), headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed, and to help assure its general welfare.
