Important Announcement for TWHBEA National Futurity Exhibitors
LEWISBURG, Tenn. – The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) has several important announcements regarding its upcoming National Futurity.
First, TWHBEA is pleased to be able to have the Futurity included under the new protocols recommended by the world-renown equine practitioners who comprise the Celebration’s new Veterinary Advisory Committee (VAC). TWHBEA is confident these new science-based, objective measures will further communicate the Association’s goal of ensuring clean, compliant horses and a level playing field for all exhibitors.
Also, no prize money will be distributed until TWHBEA has received the blood test results from the Celebration’s VAC. For a list of the prohibited substances and drugs, visit www.celebrationvac.com.
Lastly, TWHBEA will require all National Futurity participants to pay the SHOW HIO fee of $25 per inspection. Fees should be paid prior to picking up entry packets or at the TWHBEA Satellite Office on the grounds the day of the Futurity.
The TWHBEA National Futurity is in its 76th year and is the premier showcase of young industry talent. This year’s event returns to Shelbyville’s Calsonic Arena on August 20 and will serve as a qualifier for selected Celebration championship classes. Showtime is set for 6:00 p.m.
