Brandon Agrees to Assume Registrar Position
Lewisburg, TN - April 16, 2008, Mrs. Sharon Brandon, a forty-five year employee of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association, has graciously agreed to resume the position of Registrar as requested by the current Executive Committee. Mrs. Brandon has been working 40 hours per month since March 31, 2007. She has agreed to a seven-month extension of this arrangement and will help with managing the registry until such time that funds are available to employee a full time registrar.
“We are excited that Mrs. Brandon has agreed to accept the registrar position and help manage the registry during these busy times”, stated David Pruett, President of TWHBEA. “I am confident that Mrs. Brandon will bring back needed stability to our challenged registry staff,” continued Pruett.
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' AssociationSM, headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion and protection of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed and to help assure its general welfare.
