Cut off for blood sample shipments for the Christmas holiday
The University of Kentucky has announced that the University will be closing for TWO weeks instead of one over the Christmas break for energy conservation. This means that blood samples will not be delivered to the lab, properly stored or processed for that period.
Please inform your owners to NOT mail any blood samples (for blood typing or red top tube) after December 13th to ensure plenty of time for samples to be processed before the break. If they should draw blood between December 13-January 3rd, have them keep the samples refrigerated (not frozen) and mail them January 3.
This does not apply to hair samples.
