Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Position Announcement– Chief Executive Officer
Job Title: Chief Executive Officer – Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration®
Function: To implement the strategic goals and objectives of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® to enable the Board to fulfill its governance functions.
To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration’s philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.
Reports To: Board of Directors
Major Functions: Board Administration and Support…supports Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® and administration of Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and staff.
Program, Product and Service Delivery…oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs and services.
Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management…recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
Human Resource Management…effectively manages the human resources of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® acccording to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
Community and Public Relations…assures the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to local community and throughout the country speaking at civic clubs, attending meetings, community events, etc., and working with Public Relations Director to make sure local media is kept up to date.
Corporate Sponsorship…oversees sponsorship revenue. Establishing strategies to approach new and current sponsors.
Show Manager…support operations and administration to ensure the show continues in the same professional manner our customers are accustomed to.
Qualifications: Strong sense of customer service Good organizational and people skills Bachelor’s Degree
