Mary Beth Pruett Honored for Services

Each year, the Centerville Lions Club dedicates The Grinder’s Switch Walking Horse Classic to a person, they feel, has made a noteworthy contribution to the walking horse industry or their community. Previous honorees have included Bob Cherry, “Rock” McEwen and Billy Mac Maddox who have dedicated their lives, in time, loyalty and service to the Tennessee Walking Horse breed. Other notable honorees include Wash Shouse, Jr., J. B. Walker, Jr., and Bronie Kalosis, who have all left a lasting impression on their community. This year, Centerville Lions Club continues this tradition by honoring Mary Beth Pruett of Maple Shade Farm for her years of dedication and service to the industry and the community.

This will take place on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Grinder's Switch Walking Horse Classic to be held at Maury County Park in Columbia, TN. The Show begins at 6:00 P.M.

All her friends are welcome and encouraged to be present to help honor Mary Beth.
