Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association Announces 2007-08 Officers
LEWISBURG, Tenn. (Dec 3, 2007) -- The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) is pleased to announce the 2007-08 officers elected by the International Board of Directors on December 1, 2007 at the headquarters in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

*Upon seating of the executive committee, Dr. Donald Longest resigned the position of Sr. Vice President. First order of business for the executive committee was to fill this vacancy. Upon unanimous decision of the executive committee, Bob Ramsbottom was elected. Mr. Ramsbottom was a candidate on the TWHBEA nominating slate.
Newly elected President David Pruett offered the following comments. “To serve as President of the TWHBEA, our breed registry, is an honor coupled with great responsibility. Our executive committee looks forward to the challenge and TWHBEA will immediately reach out to all of the other Tennessee Walking Horse organizations so that we may establish open communication and cooperation among all groups.
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' AssociationSM (TWHBEASM), headquartered in Lewisburg, Tenn., is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion and protection of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed and to help assure its general welfare.
