TWHBEA Responds To Celebration Situation
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' AssociationSM is saddened by the unfortunate ending to this year's National Celebration, and that the three horses, which passed inspection, were denied the opportunity to compete. Owners, trainers, exhibitors, and breeders are bonded in their frustration surrounding the conclusion to this year's festivities. The TWHBEASM believes that the recent events sounded an alarm to our industry that action must be taken immediately to address the issues that this industry faces. TWHBEASM, as the breed Registrar, is prepared to lead the industry and has implemented a Sanctioning Plan that will unite the industry by providing minimum standards through one rulebook, one inspection procedure, and one judges program. Jerrold Pedigo, President of TWHBEASM has confirmed that efforts are underway to conduct a special called meeting of the Board, as soon as possible, to address these important issues. As information is available, it will be forthcoming.
