All Youth Day

Held annually on the first Saturday of the National Celebration in Shelbyville, Tennessee, All Youth Day features a judging contest, clinics, and plenty of time to hang out with friends. All Youth Day is free so come have some fun!

Apprentice Certified Riding Instructor

This is a program to start youth on the road to becoming certified riding instructors. You would work with kids under a certified instructor and learn the proper ways to teach someone to ride. You must be 14-18 years of age for this program.

State High-Point Program

The mission of the TWHBEA YOUTH STATE HIGH POINT PROGRAM is to recognize youth in their home state as successful horsemen in the Tennessee Walking Horse Breed.  This program is aimed at more in depth recognition of youth in their home territory and the goal is to make them feel involved and important to TWHBEA while encouraging the sport of showing horses.

TWHYA International High Point



The mission of the TWHBEA YOUTH INTERNATIONAL HIGH POINT PROGRAM is to recognize youth wherever they may show as successful horsemen in the Tennessee Walking Horse Breed.  This program is aimed at more in depth recognition of youth on an international level and the goal is to make them feel involved and important to TWHBEA while encouraging the sport of showing horses.

Horsemanship Program

The purpose of this multi-level program is to recognize youth that are active with the Tennessee Walking Horse in a variety of capacities.

Scout Patch Program

Any youth using a registered Tennessee Walking Horse to earn his/her horse related scout merit badge will receive a colorful embroidered patch from TWHBEA.

Trail

TWHBEA offers many overall and high point awards to our youth in the sport of trail riding.  We offer the following programs; Competitive Trail Riding, Distance, Endurance, Limited Distance, Open Gaited Breed Trail Riding and Orienteering.

The Tennessee Walking Horse is fast becoming the preferred breed of horse to enjoy on the trail and in an effort to give back TWHBEA also offers youth awards for Trail Volunteering and Trail Promotion. TWHYA International Photo Contest

This is a youth photography contest for all TWHYA members. Photo can be taken anywhere, show, clinic, camp or even your backyard. Winning photo will appear on TWHBEA website, TWHBEA facebook page, TWHYA facebook page and in the youth email blast. Contestants may enter one photo per month. Photo may be an individual or group theme shot. A special prize will be sent to the champion.

The photo may be taken by a TWHYA member or be of a photo of a TWHYA member. Please include your name, address, and names of people and horses in the photo. Please send photos via email to pewing@twhbea.com

 

TWHYA Trail Distance Program

This International trail program incorporates nicely with the adult TWHBEA distance program by including the entire family! Track your hours, fill out the calculation sheet and mail it in. Hours for 11 & Under and 12 – 17.
