LEWISBURG, Tenn. – Stud fees to 26 industry-leading sires will be available to the highest bidder beginning September 2, through an on-line auction organized by the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA). All proceeds from the auction, which runs through October 15, 2015, will benefit the TWHBEA National Futurity.
The new requirement for the owners of TWHBEA National Futurity nominated-sires, which began in 2014, were required to donate one stud fee to the auction as part of their stallion nominating fees. TWHBEA will conduct the auction through FaceBook .Bids will also be accepted via the phone up to a day before the auction is set to end. For each stallion, there will be a minimum bid and a “buy it now” option for those who want to avoid bidding.
“TWHBEA is excited to make this on-line auction available to its members,” said TWHBEA Breeders’ Division Vice President David Williams. “Not only will this auction provide our members with access to many of the industry’s most sought-after sires, it will also raise some much-needed funds for the TWHBEA National Futurity. We at TWHBEA appreciate all the stallion owners who donated a stud fee and agreed to take part in this nomination process. This online auction is a great way to promote stallions throughout the whole TWHBEA membership and we hope will lead to more business for each nominated stallion.”
The auction will go live on September 8. For more details please visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association. Bids can be placed over the phone by calling Michael Gray at 931-359-0624 or David Williams at 931-639-1081
